Help Us Help Others
ScottGroup GML Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) Corporation
and classified as a public charity. Donations are deductible under section 170 of the internal Revenue Code
Our Tax ID is 68-0639757
Give The Gift Of Giving.
All Donations Should Be Sent To Our Corporate Address

On this page we'll present some details about our organization, what we take in, and how we use the donations.

First you should know no representative will ask you to give the donation directly to them if this is the case do not give it. All donations come to the corporation itself!

The Donations are given to us by people like you who support what we do. We give all the donation the law allows to the cause it was intended for; we keep what the law allows for our operating expenses.

However we are one of the few corps that give a large part of the money we take in to the intended cause, the rest is used for operating expenses that are greatly needed to keep the doors open.

A non-profit does not have to give a high amount of what it take in we do, that's why we always need funds coming in.

You can donate as many times as you like even be a regular donor and become one of our members.

The best part of our organization is the funds go where we say they will go because we are not interested in a profit. Some have wanted to join our organization and lower the amount we give out however that is not what were about so those kind of people wont be in our organization as volunteers or on our board directors. A non profit is about helping others thats what we do without reservation. You can even direct your donation to which ever cause we support or just give it to us and we will put it to the best use as we know the needs of the people we come in contact with.

Cash, checks, money orders etc.

We take the donation as they come. We then send you a thank you letter and a receipt that you donated to our non profit organization so that you can in turn include it with your tax write offs. Please be advised the check must clear the bank first. We don't mean to sound rude on this but like any business things happen.

Vehicles

We take vehicles however only those that are in good working order and clean DMV.

We dont have people to work on the cars as of yet and we dont have storage so the vehicles must be in good shape and  ready for use.
We give some away to low income people who need a car and to students in college
We also use them for the corporation needs or sell them to cover our expenses.

We have people as we speak who need a car.

We really, really, really need a class C motor home for a traveling office. We go from Redding to San Diego helping folks people.

Yes even with this gas crunch it is still cheaper to just drive and stay in the motor home for us at this time. It also gives us the chance to mix in with the people who need the support. We go into some rough neighbor hoods at times so that we can see.

Real Estate

We do take property that is free and clear we need land for corporate use and for sale to raise money.

We need property and sq ft to use for a recration center for kids to have a place to go after school.
One thing Jorge said is that " when I grew up there was the YMCA's to go to, there was the Booker T Washington rec center on Sutter and Presido the was the Holy Cross Gym across the street from the projects on Eddy St. We had places to go to get off the street."
Our goal with real estate is the same to help others

We need office space.

We are looking for sites to open the corporate offices.

We are looking for land to make into a motor home park for low income folks and people over 55.

What makes this different is the screening process it will be a drug free, smoke free, environment.

Again we are badly in need office space as well.

Jewelry etc.

We accept such items especially if they are with official documents of appraised value.

We also take jewelry for melt down.

Clothes

We do not have the storage space for clothes, but we do take them again this plays to the part of why we need office space some have sent them to us anyway and we appreciate it.

However it is not cost effective that way for us at this time.

What you can do is send, cash or a gift certificate to us to buy the clothes for those who are trying to get back into the work force.

I understand that children/baby clothes are a good thing but our space is limited so until we get the space we will just buy the clothes and we will get it to families that need it. If you do send them please clean them first so that we dont have to use funds to do so.

In the future we are planning to open a thrift store it would be OK then to send all kinds of clothes.

We are also looking for a space to house donated clothes in the future.

We buy clothes for low income people who might be due for a work interview. People feel good when they look good.

We give clothes and blankets for the homeless at winter and storm seasons

We don’t want you to send us clothes at this time until further notice but we do need the cash and gift certificates to buy the clothes.

Tickets to Games

We are deeply appreciating those who send us tickets to games and other events. We have gotten on the list of the San Francisco 49ers and look forward to any donation they would give.

We have received tickets from our very own the San Francisco Giants. The LA Dodgers the Oakland Athletics have sent us tickets, and waiting on others to answer our request.

We send the kids and seniors to the games along with the parent and siblings depending on the amount of tickets given to us. We focus on those who would not have a chance to attend the game due to financial situations, poverty is not their fault. We also look for kids with disabilities and those who have made good achievements in school.

We do not attend the games ourselves unless it is for promotional advantages and even then we want to be invited so that it would not take a ticket from someone, we want the kids to go.

We do at times provide transportation yet we find it better to let the parents and schools arrange that.

We need you to send us donations so that we may continue to send kids and seniors to the games when we do not get the tickets for free. We also send kids and seniors to Opera’s some concerts, Circus, Rodeo's, museums, and many other events that promote good clean fun for the disadvantaged low income and fixed income people and especially the handicapped.
You may never know how this one act will shape the future of a kid's life.

This is just some of the donations we take in.

This is where the people in the sitcom Full House lived. It is in the Western Addition some say Alamo Square. Jorge grew up he and some of the people mentioned on this web site just blocks away from here. Every time Jorge and his friends are together they talk about growing up in San Francisco. The Western Addition is also where Clint Eastwood made some of his filming for the Dirty Harry movies. Next time you look at Magnum Force just before Harry's partner Felton Berry gets blown up at his mail box. Jorge and a lot of other people who lived in the projects area is in the movie.
