WE ARE PEOPLE HELPING PEOPLE.

THAT'S WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT!

We are all one human race, at times any one of us could need help.
How would you like to be in the position of needing help and nobody to turn to for the help? At ScottGroup GML Foundation we want to help other people, especially those who want to help themselves and we need you to do just that. Due to the World Wide Web helping someone knows no boundaries any more. So help us help others! Down below you will get an idea of what we do, who we are, who we want to help, and where we are going. Scott Group GML Foundation is on the move come on and move with us.

SO JUST WHO ARE WE?

We are ScottGroup GML Foundation. We applied to the IRS for non profit status in Health, Education, and Housing. Some say that is a lot or you should specialize in one thing. We feel it is not a lot nor is it enough why? Because the world we live in today is full of war, crime, sickness, radical strife, uncertainty, layoffs etc.  
We were started in 2006 by Jorge C Scott who came from the entertainment field and the hard neighborhoods of San Francisco.
What does GML stand for? GML is members of Jorge's family, when starting a corporation one has to make a unique name and that is what Jorge came up with in order to meet the unique name qualification required by the US Government, which is also a tribute to his Mother, Grandfather and Grandmother. Some people try to contact Jorge here for music and other business. Please do not try to contact Jorge here he is a member of the board and a part time employee when there is work to do and really spends most of his time as a main volunteer, yet he remains close to ScottGroup. In 2008 after making some contacts and learning more about the non-profit business the corporation went 501 (c)(3)
In simple terms that means that, the Untied States Government in care of the IRS says that we are a corporation that you can make donations too and it will in fact be a legal tax write off. It also allows us the right to compete for large grants and loans from Government and private venues.
In 2008 we also open the opportunities to use our grant consulting services, see the service page for more details on what we might be able to help you with, weather your a non profit or a for profit let's see if we can help you with your (RFP) Request For Proposal.
We are proud of our status as it is not an easy one to get and maintain however, in the long run we need you!
The best part about our corporation is we want to be non profit and we are proud of it. We have nothing to hide we use a small portion of the donations for operating expenses and the greater portion for the cause in which the donation was intended. Example the website you are reading cost money, mailings, phones, ect. cost. We send out mailing for the free baseball, basketball tickets at our own cost. We offer tickets to other events as well at times some dollars come out our funds.

                SO WHO DO WE HELP AND WHAT IS OUR MISSION?

• Our mission is to bring together the right people to the right situation where the rubber meets the road and people can get the help they need as fast as possible. That means getting the funds to the right situations in a timely manner for those who need the help. We want to be the household name for people to think of when you say non profit. We strive to be the best. Our mission is broad however OUR SPECIALTY IS HELPING UNDER PRIVILEGED KIDS and people with disabilities yet we do more. We help people with disabilities either to get to and from an appointment or get around for other things they need to get done. When we say disabilities we are talking multiple situations such as physical, mental, emotional, spinal etc. We help them all. One of the reasons we concentrate a lot on the under privileged kids and people with disabilities is the founder suffered a serious spinal injury in 2000 from a car accident and therefore understands fully the hardships of those who are handicapped.

• We raise money for mobile wheel chairs for kids and seniors. There are people who could be more of a person, be more involved into who they are and society if they could just get around. Some can't afford the regular chair so an electronic one is out of the picture. We select deserving ones and get them the chairs they need.

• We give; dollars toward expenses, buy gifts, and other donations for breast cancer patients. We help them to and from appointments. We will also collect cars and donate it to them. We donate the cars to struggling college students as well. We have people who need cars now both patients and students alike.

• There is now a lot of Americans with diabetes and a lot don't even know they have it. This is a deadly and potential crippling disease. It is on the rampage especially with America's children now being so overweight. We help locate them so they can get treatment and we help with information. This is one of the reasons we want to open a recreation center for kids so that they can move around exercise and burn calories. Most kids only exercise their fingers with video games.

• We help homeless people/teens with HIV. HIV is something that does not depend on race. We also want to help with finding housing, jobs education etc. We contact and work close with groups who have the openings for immediate situations, that’s part of the rubber meeting the road we spoke of in the mission statement. When people need help most times it is immediate! This illness is a serious one and there are more and more people getting affected everyday because of life style or blood transfusions. It is now being reported that African American women are on the high list of those coming in contact with this potential killer!

• We assist in small scholarships, using the funds to buy items needed for school, such as books, paper, computers, printers, transportation this is another reason we take cars to donate to students who can't afford a car so with transportation problems solved the student can concentrate on the matters of education. We buy school bus tickets for kids who can't afford them. In Roseville CA that ticket can cost as much as $255.00 and more at the time of this printing as you know things keep going up. We also buy DVD players for installation in school buses for regular education however we want to do this especially for the Special Education buses. These are kids with emotional, mental and physical disabilities. We know that this keeps the kids more calm on the bus which is good for the other kids and drivers. Some of the buses have no air conditioner and when these kids have special needs plus being hot in an old bus it makes life harder for them.

• One of our most enjoyable things we do is we send under privileged, kids with disabilities and seniors to games and other events when we have the tickets. Jorge says "I will never forget how happy I was the first time we sent a kid to a game. He goes on to say "when I grew up in San Francisco we played all sports some came out of the hood and went on to play pro ball because of the skills we obtained. We loved the ball players and when I went to my first Giants game as a kid man oh man it was great!" Some time we can get the team to donate the tickets, for example The San Francisco Giants and the Los Angeles Dodgers the Sacramento Kings/Monarchs have been so great in helping us to get tickets for the past two years yet other times we have to buy them at discounted or current prices and so we need your donation. We send under privileged kids all year round to some kind of event. There is something uplifting about a kid at a baseball game a concert and opera a lecture on a subject they are interested in or didn’t know about. At times we need transportation for those with disabilities so they can get to the games. If you have a limo, or bus companies, even a taxi cab company any professional with transportation can help. We need tickets no matter where the seats are we need the tickets for the kids and parents to the game so please send us tickets or the dollars to any California game or any game anywhere in the country and we will get kids to them in return we will give you a tax deductible receipt for the services. Please keep in mind we do not go to the games unless it is a promotional event so it is up to you to get the kids there and pay for the parking, in the past two years that we have gotten tickets we have not been able to attend the games to take photos, there is always more kids in need than tickets yet it is not for us it is for the kids!

• We help those who want to get back into the work force. They are people who are homeless yet want to be back into the work place. We buy them new/used clothing for an interview to make them feel good about themselves. I have seen it over and over again there is something about a new suit or dress that makes a person feel good about who they are. They walk and talk with more confidence and can now go to a interview with total concentration on the interview itself.

• We help people in conditions beyond their control such as fire, earthquakes other natural disasters all over the country. People are still suffering from Katrina and other disasters that we forgot about. We try to keep a place for such a need through people willing to open their homes to those in need. There is always people who need your help in this area.

• We help certain situation with exotic or wild animals such as in shelters in feeding and housing the animals including animals who in are in zoos or can't be placed back into the wild. We also buy and have trained guide dogs and much more as we are lovers of creation.

 We also have the Technology For The Future Program
This program will open soon we are waiting to see how many companies etc we can get to help and donate the resources. This program provides computers for poor kids, kids with disabilities and seniors.

Technology is moving fast now things are possible that were just a thought 20-30 years ago. The computer that helped land man on the moon is not as powerful as the simple home computer. The www is here to stay and it will only getting more and more informative each day yes each day. So ScottGroup wants to be a part of helping under privileged and disabled kids and seniors to have computer knowledge and access in their home to keep up with today’s changing times.
                           
HOW CAN YOU HELP US HELP OTHERS 

• We need to raise dollars and we need them now We need people experienced in writing and especially finding grants. We take donations large or small! 24/7 Remember please that no donation is to large or small. A person can donate 1 dollar or a million it all adds up and it is all deeply appreciated to us and those we help. You can also become one of our family members who donate all year round  or help at fundraising etc. As a member who pledge to donate to us on a regular basis we have certain gifts we give to you and a certificate of membership along with those who want to be posted as a member on our web site, those who want to keep it private we do that as well. We also need sponsors badly and board members who can get things done and volunteers!

• We need property we want to open a recreation center for kids to have a place to go rather than being on the street. We need homes for homeless kids and mothers who are on the street with kids. We need food to feed some of these people as well. We need motor homes a class C for a traveling office and larger ones to sit on the property as temporary housing for people.

• Like some non profits we want you to donate cars, vans or trucks, motor homes, boats but only if it is in good condition. We don't take junk cars because we don't have mechanics or space to store them. The cars need to be in good running condition and have clean DMV. We use some of the cars for the corporation or sale them to help with our expenses for the corporation. However our main focus is to give them to poor families/students that need transportation. We really do need a class C motor home right now for a traveling office to cut hotel cost as we move up and down CA. We go to Eureka to San Diego at any given time. When we travel out of state we use money for expenses this would dramatically cut the cost as we could sleep in the motor home rather than rent a hotel all the time. We also can have this serve as a immediate placement for those who experience a home disaster. We need the trucks you donate because, we use the truck for the corporation to haul things or use the truck to move something for someone and we ask for a donation for doing so or we sale it and put the money back into the corporations donations and operations.

• We need passenger vans to transport seniors to and from doctor appointments or outings. The more passengers the van holds the better and then we need volunteer drivers with a class B. We want to hire drivers when the donations come in. We need volunteer drivers and look forward to having salary drivers in the future. They will need a class B with passenger endorsement as one of the fleets inventory will be a bus as well.

• We accept your offers from you limo companies to give a poor families or a family with a disabled kid a short tour of San Francisco Sac or the wine country what ever they can donate. We have had companies do this but not enough. I understand the gas prices but it is tax write off and there is great joy in seeing a family especially with kids when mom and dad are made King and Queen for a day and bring a smile to their kids face who get a chance to leave the ghetto if not but for a hour or two.

• We also encourage celebrities to come in and perform at one of our events to help raise funds. We need you let us use your name as one who supports our cause the more the better. Do you know celebrities that would give of their time for a good cause? Please contact us and let's talk about it. We are planning a talent show in the summer that we want to get off every summer which is a great place to have a host and performers that are celebrities. We also want the talent show to be a winter thing as well.

• We need professionals on our board of director we need a secretary and treasure. We need 6-8 directors with professional background preferred to help us run the corporation more effectively. The board meets officially twice per year and everyone has input in order to help those who need help. Most business can be handled by phone conference and proxy. This is a great ground floor opportunity for you professionals or a retired professional looking for a good thing to do nothing is more better than to give back to your communities by giving of your time to help make important decisions. People have a real misconception about a corporation board of directors we can clear it all up for you. We need people in legal, health, transportation, electronics, construction, maintenance, you name it we need it.

• Last but certainly not least we need VOLUNTEERS VERY BADLY! in all areas office especially in the way I abuse the Kings language. We need help in field activities, phones calls both in and out going, web design, fundraising, advertising, everything that make a non-profit happen. Volunteers are the backbone of a non profit. Volunteers are the backbone of the non profit!

LONG RANGE GOALS FOR SCOTTGROUP

• We want to help even more people the area of health care it is one of our goals to have a clinic in the inner cities for people who can't afford to go to the doctor. We want a clinic for prevention education and treatment for HIV. Diabetic concerns also in the clinic are a place for people who want bloodless surgery as many have contracted the HIV virus from tainted blood. Some pregnant mothers don't get the prenatal care they should or they don't eat the right foods. Some infants and growing kids are going to bed hungry even though they might have ate something but it was not enough or nothing nutritious. We want to build places of worship for those who are in very poor places in poor countries and many other things. We want to have a state of the art music studio to record and teach music. There are so many things on our goal list so we work hard to try to get our name out there again help us get the help with your donations.
